    Multicultural Counseling in the Era of COVID-19

    MAMCD Panelists:

  • Dr. Lori Nixon-Bethea – Licensed Professional Counselor,  Georgian Court University, Intentional Hearts Counseling Services, Author of Riley’s Worry Away
  • Dr. Jonathan Murakami – Licensed Clinical Psychologist, The College of New Jersey, Staff Psychologist, Coordinator of Clinical Training
  • Dr. Sherritta Hughes – Licensed Professional Counselor,  Georgian Court University, Board Director of Hughes Integrative Wellness, Inc
  • Attendees will learn 1) to identify and recognize surfacing issues facing marginalized client groups resulting from COVID-19 pandemic, 2) to prepare and assess the social and cultural problems that have manifested while quarantining 3) discuss and evaluate current and future contingency plans to provide crisis interventions during the pandemic and 4) to recognize self-care as a skill set to cope and advocate for both mental health care practitioners and their clients who have been directly impacted by the racial unrest happening in tandem with the COVID-19 pandemic.

          MCA Professional/Life         $50          

MCA Professional Non-Member   $60

Attendees may earn 3 NBCC Credit Hours; Zoom registration link will be shared with attendees before event.
