MCA presents: Supervising and Managing Subordinates: Legal-Ethical Decision Making for Professional Counselors by Dr. John P. Duggan, MA, Th, EdD 10am-12pm on August 21, 2021 via Zoom

This ethical training explores the legal-ethical standards of care for LCPC’s who own private practices, work in group practice settings or who function as clinical directors. The training session will include small and large group application if a legal-ethical decision making model. The learning outcome will be especially relevant to any professional counselor who has fully licensed healthcare practitioner employees and independent contractors who “work for them.” At the conclusion of the workshop, participants will successfully 1) Apply the Legal-Ethical Decision Making Model (Wheeler & Bertram, 2018) to ethical dilemmas encountered by professional counselors who own private practices or act as clinical directors for agencies, 2) Review risk management and positive practices when supervising subordinates, and 3) Examine why it’s critical to properly consult with colleagues and specialist practitioners about Legal-ethical decision-making.
